In 1992, she graduated from the Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and completed her cardiology residency at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1997. She worked under Prof. Dr. Navin C Nanda as a research fellow in the echocardiography laboratories at the University of Alabama in Birmingham/Usa. In 1999, she was appointed as an associate professor of cardiology and in 2005 she was appointed as a full professor of cardiology. Between 2010-2021, she worked as a professor at the Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine, department of Cardiology.In 2009, she founded the Sakarya University WOMEN and HEALTH Research Center and served as its founding president until 2019. During this time , in addition to organizing many congresses and courses, she edited the international book "HEART DISEASE IN WOMEN", which is the most comprehensive text book written on heart diseases in women, together with Prof Dr Navin C Nanda. In 2021, she was appointed to the Department of Cardiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Health Sciences in Istanbul . In 2018, she established the Digital Health project group at the Turkish Society of Cardiology and served as the founding director until 2024. In 2022, she was elected as a member of the Digital Health Committee at the European Society of Cardiology and still serves in this position. She works as an International editorial board member of ''European Heart Journal Digital Health'' and ''Echocardiography-a journal of cardiovascular imaging and intervention'' and also serves as a vice editor at the Anatolian journal of cardiology responsible for Artificial intelligence section .In 2024 she established “SUN healthcare and medical technologies company “ with her colleagues at the technology transfer office of Health Sciences University and currently works as the CEO of this company .Her primary interests are “Artificial intelligence in cardiology””Digital Health “ “Heart disease in women “”Hypertension “”Heart Failure “ and multimodal imaging in cardiology .
